Libya | Project monitoring

In partnership with ALDA (Association of Local Democracy Agencies) and Asodh, the NGO FATIMA ZAHRA has organized several activities in Tarhuna since May 2021. During these meetings, about 50 women have benefited from psychosocial support through discussion sessions led by qualified volunteers. At the same time, about a hundred children have been able to take advantage of recreational activities (sports, drawing competition, face painting, etc.) allowing them to "forget" for a few moments the traumas of war to play, draw and imagine a better world.
Beyond this collective awareness, it was also a question of creating a social link between the beneficiaries of this project through the expression of these women and children who are often reduced to silence. We thank Nawara, our partner in Libya, for her personal commitment in a difficult context. Her action in favour of the integration of women in the public space contributes to their influence within a civil society in full mutation. Second step: organization of a conference-debate "Reflection on the place of women in public life" with the participation of Nawara and Tunisian beneficiaries integrated in the project supported by ALDA (Association of Local Democracy Agencies) with the funding of REF - Réseau Euromed France.
